From January 2009 to December 2009, Consumer Affairs investigated 619 cases and resolved 571. 71 cases had cross-Ministry involvement, a 73% increase over 2008. There was a 47% decrease in ongoing active investigations and there were only 2 pending court cases, down from 4 the previous year. There were only 2 international investigations, down from 9 in the previous year.

2008
In 2008, Consumer Affairs conducted 589 consumer case investigations, 23 product recall investigations, and 41 cases were referred. Consumer Affairs experienced a 15% decrease in case investigations over the previous year.
